POSITION

TITLE:

General

Ledger

Accountant

OBJECTIVE:

Provide

a

variety

of

accounting

transactions

in

accordance

with

generally

accepted accounting and audit principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates

must

demonstrate

their

ability

to

accomplish

the

Essential

Job

Results

stated

below.

Job knowledge/documentation required:

Minimum High school diploma with three years progressive experience in Accounting.

Prefer BA Degree

with emphasis in

Accounting

or Finance, (or) Associates degree in Accounting or Finance with two years progressive experience in accounting applications. Familiarity with Non-Profit and Fund Accounting; grant management.

Computer Skills Required:

Must have knowledge of computers, all Microsoft applications, and preferably Micro Information Products (MIP) accounting software. Must be willing to continue professional education to keep up with evolving Accounting systems.

Familiar with the Bristol Bay area, people, and cultures.

Complete achievement of the above specifications may not be required if, in the opinion of BBNA, a particular candidate possesses significant offsetting characteristics, such as past accomplishments, experience, education, or estimate of future potential.

accounting

general

supervision

by

1.

Understanding and keeping current on the various financial rules, regulations, OMB Circulars,

Uniform

Guidance

and

reporting

requirements

that

govern

the

Federal

and

State contracts/grants administered for grant programs.

2.

Establishing

a

thorough

knowledge

of

BBNA

Financial

Management

and

Employee

Personnel Policies and Procedures Manuals.

3.

Attention

to

detail.

Continuing professional development through reading/research, work experience, and formal study to[]{style="letter-spacin
