Description

Our client, a family law firm in Freehold, NJ, is looking to hire a Family Law Legal Assistant (Paralegal) to their team.

Assist attorneys in preparing for family law cases by conducting legal research and drafting necessary documents.

Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.

Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.

Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance with court requirements.

Utilize document management systems to maintain electronic files efficiently.

Coordinate with courts and other legal entities regarding filings and deadlines

Managing a calendar

Contact with clients, courts and other attorneys

Answering Phones

Electronic filing of court documents

Very few trials

Dictation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred.

Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm, particularly in family law.

Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail.

Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure document accuracy.

Familiarity with West Law or similar legal research tools is a plus.
