LC State invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant 2.

Salary based on experience and qualifications: up to \$21.00 per hour (30-40 hours per week)

Required Qualifications:

Good knowledge of office support functions including:\ a. Using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel\ b. Filing\ c. Composing a variety of business documents, including official correspondence\ d. Researching, compiling, and summarizing data for reports\ e. Providing administrative support to an administrator, director, or senior staff member Experience interpreting, applying, and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies, or services Independently solving problems / performing liaison activities in a work setting Coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements

The ability to maintain confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate\'s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Experience in Higher Education

Demonstrated proficiency with monitoring and managing budget processes. Knowledge of state and local government organization structure

Responsibilities:

Answer and direct phone calls, manage emails, and greet and receive guests, visitors, and colleagues who come into the office. Research, analyze, and compile information to create comprehensive reports for various purposes. Engage in active problem-solving and increase efficiency for Executive Assistant. Prepare official correspondence, reports, and documents for review and processing in a timely manner. Maintain records and files. Assist the Vice President of Institutional Research, Effectiveness and IT, and the Chief Communications & Marketing/State & Local Affairs Officer with travel arrangements, purchasing of supplies and reconciling p-card charges. Assist them with other office duties as needed. Assist the Academic Affairs Administrative Coordinator with office duties as assigned, as well as supporting the planning and coordination of academic events. Track expenses, as directed by and in coordination with the Executive Assistant. Provide administrative and analytical support to direct reporting units under the Office of the President when necessary. Learn and perform duties in adjacent roles to provide cross-coverage and support business continuity. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
