Sales and Property Tax Accounting Supervisor

What to expect in this role on a given day:

This position will function in the eight person Sales and Property Tax department, that handles all indirect tax functions for CSI Leasing, CSI Leasing Canada Ltd., and CSI Leasing Australia PTY. Indirect tax compliance functions include sales tax, property tax, gross receipts tax, business and occupation tax, goods and service tax, value added tax and business license renewals. We are looking for a key team member who takes pride in leadership, sees the bigger picture, takes ownership, and is eager to grow with us today and into the future.

Daily responsibilities include

Supervise 2 employees and approve their work product.

Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, property tax returns, gross receipts tax returns, B and 0 tax returns and business license.

Verify assessed values, billing and prepare customer reimbursement invoices.

Prepare annual business license applications.

Respond to customer requests and tax authorities.

Reconcile tax accounts.

Assist with audit management.

Special projects as assigned.

You will be a good fit for this position if you have:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

1 to 3 years supervisory experience in tax or accounting preferred.

1 to 5 years indirect tax or accounting experience.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and organize multiple work tasks.

Detailed problem solver with the ability to meet deadlines.

Experience with PTMS and VERTEX software preferred.
