Description

We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves handling essential accounts payable tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Based in Ashland, Nebraska, this position offers a great opportunity to work onsite and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices promptly and ensure accurate entry into the accounting system.

Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to verify payment details.

Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or outstanding issues.

Assist in conducting weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wires.

Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and files.

Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries or invoice discrepancies.

Contribute to month-end closing activities by providing necessary accounts payable support.

Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the accounting team.

Requirements - Hands-on experience with Sage 300 is required for this role.

At least 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, SAP, or HCM SaaS Oracle Fusion is a plus.
