Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to March Air Reserve Base, California. The position is a regular full-time position, which means you are eligible for benefits and guaranteed to work at least 40 hours per week. Employees will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, lodging, and other activities. Responsibilities Responsible for all 452 Services Flight marketing, promotional, editorial, pictorial functions and commercial sponsorship program. Serves as the Services Division public relations point of contact and liaison with base Public Affairs office. Develops and implements marketing and commercial sponsorship plans, strategies and programs in coordination with other departments. Complies and analyzes market data relative to economic conditions and strategies for the Clubs, Recreation and Lodging. Consults and advises activity managers of marketing goals, MAJCOM and base level initiatives and requirements. Coordinate Air Forces, Air Forces Reserve and Base Services projects, such as, membership drives, surveys and special events. Supports local projects with approved guidelines. Develops visual aids, charts, graphics and computer generated products. Prepares for the marketing and sponsorship activities annual budget and equipment requirements. Plans, coordinates and conducts market research, to include demographics, surveys, focus groups, etc. Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economics. Prepares and coordinates advertisements and sponsorship activities for all Services activities and when required for AAFES. Coordinates with installation's Staff Judge Advocate and Contracting Office to ensure terms of each sponsorship agreements adheres to all procedural guidance, regulations and policies. Ensures that all sponsorship is reviewed by the Services Director. Prepares and presents briefings to base functions, such as newcomers orientation, Commander's Call, NAF counsel and off-base civic organizations. Ensures that all requests, waivers and approvals for solicited and unsolicited events (i.e. AF Awards, Air Shows, open house and events open to the public) are endorsed by through proper channels, such as the Installation Commander, Support Group Commander, MAJCOM, HQ, AFSVA Commander or MWR Advisory Board and Public Affairs Office. Uses various computer software programs to produce flyers, brochures, newsletters, correspondence, etc. Plans, schedules and coordinates work operations. Approves or disapproves sick and annual leave or other absences from work. Solves problems related to work being supervised. Provides performance evaluation input of staff. Explains and gain support of subordinates for management policy and goals. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of three or more subordinated staff. Demonstrated experience using a variety of marketing media and methods, such as graphic arts, design, illustrations, photographs, computer broadcast, an other visual media.. Must write and speak effectively. Progressively responsible experience which provided the ability to solicitation and negotiate commercial sponsorship agreements. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
