Position Summary: The Director Operations Mankato is responsible for managing all Operations areas for Rolls-Royce Solutions in Mankato, MN. This includes direct responsibility for production, safety, maintenance and facility management, as well as coordinating responsibility for Quality, Logistics and Purchasing. Key Accountabilities: Oversee and direct the Operations department for RRS in Mankato, including production, safety, maintenance, and facility management. Responsible as the Site Lead for the Mankato location to represent the company externally and align all functions locally including leading townhall meetings and employee engagement initiatives. Coordinating all other relevant functions as Quality, Logistics and Purchasing to achieve the overall operations performance targets. Manage and develop direct reporting staff and manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets. Plan, develop and implement strategy for Operations in Mankato so as to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales. Realize and coordinate growth and expansion plans for the upcoming years Manage cost, efficiency, quality and on-time delivery to meet company goals. Manage the measurement and effectiveness of all Operations processes and the development and enhancement of LEAN business methods within Operations. Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales. Coordinate activities with headquarters in Germany in areas such as standardized tooling, operational procedures, maintenance cycles, planning of line, test, and paint set up, quality procedures, supplier audits, quality standards, EPA requirements, etc. Solve technical issues within the manufacturing process with Manufacturing in Germany. Liaise, coordinate and network with other functional/departmental managers regionally and globally. Responsible for the HS&E (Health, Safety and Environmental) Management and Compliance as accountable person for the site Mankato Responsible for following the procedures per the company's quality system. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Global Code of Conduct. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree Business, Sales, Supply Chain or Engineering and 7 years of experience in operations management, plant management or diesel engine/systems engineering management; or 11 years of experience in operations management, plant management or diesel engine/systems engineering management. Ability to travel domestic and international. Preferred Qualifications: Proven strategic leadership and executive management skills. Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, supply chain management, quality control, HS&E, and cost management. Excellent knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources. Excellent ability to manage business processes and procedures. Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills. Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive concurrent projects to completion. Excellent ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability for dealing with very complex problems. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire others. Excellent organizational planning and follow-up skills. Strong understanding of complex financial transactions. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
