THE OPPORTUNITY
The VP, Deposit Operations Manager, is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational oversight of the Deposit Operations team. This includes ensuring that all daily processing, time-sensitive activities, compliance obligations, internal controls, and audit requirement are effectively met. The role is accountable for building a high-performing team, maintaining regulatory compliance, ensuring operational integrity and effectiveness, and optimizing departmental performance across all deposit-related functions. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Provide daily oversight and leadership to the Deposit Operations team, ensuring all operational functions are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
Monitor and manage time-sensitive activities including funds transfers, wire cutoff schedules, and regulatory reporting obligations.
Ensure adequate staffing levels and resources allocation to support daily operations, special projects, and peak workloads.
Maintain operational excellence through ongoing training, cross-training, and professional development of staff.
Ensure all policies, procedures, and internal controls are current, comprehensive, and compliant with application laws and regulations.
Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external audits; ensure all exams and audits receive satisfactory or better ratings.
Oversee and ensure the integrity and timeliness of all departmental functions, including but not limited to: Retirement services, W-8 Certification process, B-Notice management, Escrow Retention Account monitoring and maintenance, Deposit Account Control Agreement (DACA) monitoring and maintenance, Brokered Deposit onboarding and maintenance, wire processing, unclaimed property reporting, and more.
Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and other departments/branches to resolve issues, implement new processes, or support business initiatives.
Drive continuous process improvement, automation and customer service.
Champion a culture of compliance, accountability, and service excellence within the department.
Prepare and present department metrics, KPIs, and operational reports to senior leadership.
Maintain consistent reoccurring team meetings and individual one-on-one meetings with each department staff.
Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions.
Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
Manage, support, coach and train staff.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in banking operations, with a strong background in deposit operations
Minimum of 5 years in management or leadership role.
Strong working knowledge of banking regulations including Reg D, Reg CC, Reg E, BSA/AML, and OFAC.
Demonstrated experience managing audits, compliance matters, and exams.
Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, implement process improvements, and deliver results under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in banking systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with core banking platform, FIS is a plus.
Required: Highschool Diploma or equivalent

SALARY RANGE
The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
