Customer Service Representative

Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the Waste and Environmental Management industry, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your problem-solving and communication skills. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to customers while addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and promoting goodwill.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve customer disputes effectively.

Communicate customer needs and opportunities to team members and managers, while promoting additional services.

Conduct customer interviews, input information into computer systems, and manage account updates.

Prepare contracts, calculate service charges, collect deposits, and handle address changes or service discontinuations.

Process payments, make bank deposits, and manage production paperwork alongside general office duties.

Address and resolve complaints related to billing or service issues, escalating service failures to appropriate teams.

Deliver customer solutions that are cost-effective, safe, and environmentally responsible.

Maintain high-quality customer interactions to foster positive relationships and goodwill.

Handle inbound and outbound calls, schedule appointments, and manage order entries efficiently. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a high call volume environment.

High school diploma or equivalent educational background.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication, along with strong typing and data entry skills.

Exceptional verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers.

Prior experience in the solid waste industry or a related field is preferred.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is highly desirable. TalentMatch®
