SUMMARY

Oversee the operations and staff of the aquatics facility, ensuring safety, quality, and a positive experience for patrons. This includes managing programs, staff, facilities, as well as handling finances and administrative tasks. Performs professional duties in developing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and supervising aquatics programs and activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Rec Center Director and/or Operations Manager that are appropriate to this job description.

Manages the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.

Manages operations of the aquatic facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safe operating conditions.

Responsible for the safety of all program participants.

Develops, organizes, and implements aquatic programs, special events, and changes in policies, procedures, and fees.

Responsibly manages fiscal and other resources allocated for programs and facilities used by programs.

Assist Director and Operations Manager with public relation duties such as preparing and distributing marketing materials.

Responds to complaints, issues, and inquiries from the public and staff.

Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned staff and facilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree (AA) from an accredited college or university; or two years related experience and/or training

in Recreation Administration, Physical Education, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related fields .

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Prefer two years of supervisory management and/or budgetary experience.

Must maintain a valid Drivers License.
