American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and support that helps companies of all sizes gain financial savings, control, and efficiency. We provide a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. The Global Commercial Services Marketing team is responsible for creating an end-to-end global marketing strategy and distribution plan for our prospect & customer segments around the world.
The GCS Marketing Analytics, Investment & Marketing Enablement team, as part of Global Commercial Services within American Express, is responsible for overseeing marketing analytics, data products, data platforms, investment optimization and marketing enablement specific to the Global Commercial Services (GCS) business.
This position will report to the Performance & Analytics team lead within the GCSM AIM team. This team is responsible for performance management and marketing analytics across the GCS Marketing organization with a particular focus on Business Line of Credit and Business Checking. This individual should have a strong interest in extracting quantitative insights and be excited by the challenge of helping channel owners understand their performance and refine their investment strategies. A critical success factor for this role is to be results driven; this individual will be tasked with providing a data based strategic perspective, channel and product specific results analysis, and streamlining run-the-business reporting tactics. This role will provide significant opportunity to drive at scale investment results and gain exposure to leaders across GCS, US SME and American Express.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Partner closely across GCS Marketing, GIO, Finance, etc. to ensure consistency in reporting and help Customer Marketing channel owners to keep a pulse on their forecasts
Understand and document the drivers of marketing performance; both quantitative drivers through increased tracking as well as qualitative drivers through regular touchpoints with marketing partners.
Provide strategic, analytics-based guidance during broader strategic planning sessions but also data exploration-driven ideas and opportunity areas on a regular basis across channels
Develop reporting tools and visualizations to better highlight Marketing performance
Develop and deliver insight-based, multi-channel marketing investment to maximize American Express' opportunity to steal competitive share
Minimum Qualifications
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience in data analytics.
Highly motivated team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Extremely detail oriented, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Be data-driven and a fast learner
Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives with minimal supervision
Energized by a fast paced, complex environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Tableau and Adobe Analytics a plus

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
