Summary You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Digital Analytics Information & Tech Adv Group, Integrated Battlespace Simulation & Test Dept, Simulation Division, Simulation Systems Prototyping Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD. Responsibilities You will serve as a team lead who works with team members to successfully complete specific tasks, produce work products and services, and meet program objectives. You will represent the command at technical meetings involving service representatives, management and leadership. You will advise NAVAIR leadership and major program efforts in analysis, simulation, and avionics hardware and software development to test and demonstrate critical elements that advance state-of-the-art and set new precedence for simulation systems. You will use application of personal expertise, knowledge of industry development, and collaboration with other contributors to grow future capability development of the JSE Enterprise. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for integration of capability into the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) for IBST. You will serve as expert advisor to officials across the Navy and the DoD, as well as contractor and other personnel in matters relating to JSE integration. You will serve as the technical leader and participate in a wide variety of advanced projects in support of Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) efforts for the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department. You will be responsible for transitioning new technology and programs into integrated JSE products. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DS-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: (1) Serving as a technical authority throughout an organization and advising management/colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, and proposing alternatives; (2) Developing program policies as well as resolving critical problems or issues related to policy application which coordinate to major program functions; (3) Acting as a team lead who works with team members to successfully complete specific tasks, produce work products and services, and meet program objectives; (4) Advising leadership and major program efforts in analysis, simulation, and avionics hardware and software development to test and demonstrate critical elements that advance state-of-the-art and set new precedence for simulation systems; and (5) Working independently to resolve problems or issues that extend across an organization along with serving as the central point of contact.
