POSITION SPECIFICS
The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) is seeking a candidate for an AdministrativeAssistant to join the Dean's office. This role will assist the Dean, Associate Deans, faculty, and staff. The role requires an extremely organized individual and the ability to perform a wide variety of complex administrative functions in a busy team-oriented office environment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONSGeneral Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)
2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, including maintaining calendar, scheduling meetings, sending agendas and meeting minutes, scheduling travel and processing travel reimbursements. Assist with special events and projects.
Provide administrative support to the Faculty Council, scheduling meetings, meeting minutes and assisting where needed.
Provide administrative support for the Academic Integrity committee, scheduling meetings and keeping detailed records.
Point of contact for student concern related inquiries.
Conduct the committee elections and maintain committee data.
Plan and oversee the college's New Faculty Orientation each fall.
Greet visitors, answer phone calls and emails, contribute to a welcoming environment within the Dean's Office.
Interpret and communicate internal policies and procedures and maintain appropriate procedures across the college.
Resolve complex inquiries and ensure compliance with work unit and/or University policies and procedures.
Assist supervisor in training and developing other administrative support, act as a backup in supervisor's absence.
Support office procedures for handling and maintaining confidential materials.
Draft reports including conclusions and recommendations for solving administrative problems.
Develop new processes or procedures relevant to the support needs of the office.
Preferred experience:
Experience with Microsoft's Office 365, Activity Insight and Workday. The successful candidates must have effective communications skills, a desire to learn and engage with diverse audiences, work as part of a team and provide exceptional customer service.

SALARY & BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $55,500.00.
