Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Addison, Illinois. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and metrics-driven environment, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills. You will play a key role in processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receivers to maintain data integrity.

Process freight invoices for multiple locations and utilize Sage modules for invoice entry.

Enter and route non-purchase order invoices using Sage Accounts Payable and OnBase systems.

Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and handle sales certificate requests.

Collaborate with branches, customer service, and sales teams to address invoice-related issues.

Coordinate invoice selection for payment, prepare checks, and reconcile fleet invoices as needed.

Maintain organized filing systems for all Accounts Payable documents and process manual checks.

Meet departmental metrics by processing 250-300 invoices weekly with speed and accuracy.

Post Accounts Payable credit card payments and manage pre-paid vendor invoices.

Provide training and updates on routing processes for B2B locations.

The hourly pay range for this position is $27 to $31. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable within a high-volume environment.

Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Sage and OnBase is preferred.

Ability to process 250-300 invoices per week while adhering to departmental metrics.

Strong attention to detail with the capability to assign invoices accurately across multiple locations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage vendor relationships effectively.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Proactive and collaborative personality to align with team dynamics.

Familiarity with Excel formulas and advanced data entry skills.
