Information Technology Business Analyst III (Business Analyst)
This position performs highly complex (senior-level) business analysis work. Work involves documenting user requirements for all legacy system replacement projects; reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes; creating and validating user acceptance testing; performing post-implementation support of systems; and providing support for the systems development lifecycle. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
This position:
Writes plain language business requirements for legacy system replacement projects and related enterprise system modernization projects.
Review complex project deliverables such as charters, design documentation, risk assessment plans, and provide comments and suggestions to document owners.
Supports project managers, data analysts, developers, and IT teams by maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Identifies opportunities to improve business processes through automation.
Develops test plans, coordinates testing, and validates builds in production.
Develops and conducts training with internal and external users
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: This position requires:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, business administration, accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
Two years of work experience in computer systems analysis work involving analyzing and identifying user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems is required.
Regular work attendance.
Experience and education relevant to the position requirements may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
