Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Garden Grove, California. This role is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented and experienced in managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and accounts receivable processes. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Record and post cash transactions from the bank into the company's accounting system.

Manage and maintain an organized accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely processing.

Prepare weekly bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

Create and post journal entries during month-end close processes.

Conduct credit checks and perform sanctions screening to ensure compliance.

Facilitate overdue debtors review meetings and provide actionable insights.

Assist in pursuing overdue payments and resolving outstanding debts.

Support the team with ad-hoc financial data requests and reporting needs. Requirements - Proven experience in managing General Ledger transactions and processes.

Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) workflows and systems.

Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in handling financial data.

Ability to perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.

Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
