POSITION: Advanced Manufacturing Technology Adjunct; Part Time Day and/or Night

Description:
Under general supervision, the adjunct instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential to the Industrial Manufacturing Business and Industry. The adjunct instructor will perform all aspects of instruction for the Advanced Manufacturing Program: effectively use oral and written communication skills, demonstrate knowledge of current in-field procedures, complete all records and reports in a timely manner, maintain accurate inventory of all assigned properties, and maintain qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Policy Manual and accreditation standards. The instructor m ust demonstrate the use of appropriate teaching techniques such as including proper maintenance of grade books and any other record-keeping required, follow approved course syllabus, evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives within the program, and maintain a safe classroom and lab environment. The position may involve teaching traditional day and/or evening classes or online classes.
Applicants must be motivated, organized, and able to work collegially in a professional environment.
The selected candidate must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking. The selected candidate must also withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions with possible exposure to dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, chemicals, and fumes is possible in a lab environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field OR Associate's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
· Appropriate coursework related to course(s) taught.
· Related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience developing and teaching lessons individually and in classroom environments.
· Knowledge of online instruction and gradebooks
