This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.

What You Will Do

Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate model assumptions

Analyze experimental results and provide recommendations for further optimization.

Implement clustering, classification, regression, and other machine learning algorithms as needed.

Apply data mining techniques to extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.

Identify patterns and anomalies in data to detect fraud, predict customer behavior, or optimize business processes.

Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms.

Perform feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning to optimize model performance.

Evaluate model accuracy, precision, recall, and other performance metrics

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of experience in software development or a related field

2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development

2 years of experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Skills/Education

Proven experience in data science, machine learning, or predictive analytics roles

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R, etc.)

Experienced in using AI/ML platforms, technologies, techniques (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NLP, LLM, GenAI)

Pay Range: $75,300.00 - $143,100.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
