Position Summary...
What you'll do...
The Principal, Technology Strategy reports to the Organization VP and works closely with other with senior executives and their management team to cut through bureaucracy to more efficiently run their business. In this role, they help run the business cadence (budgeting, planning, reviews), run strategic projects, and provide a proxy for their (L4) leader, able to communicate strategy and decision-making to the management team and other key stakeholders.
To be most effective running the business, the Principal, Technology Strategy must build strong partnerships across functions, so must have integrity and be trusted by all.
Key focus areas:
Own and communicate the strategy narrative
Provide sounding board to management team, acting as proxy for leader on key issues
Work closely across functions and teams to provide a consistent narrative across initiatives
Ensure strategy cascades to the broader organization .
Align area with department|company-level strategy (incl. Corporate objectivess, Board updates)
Manage Board and L-team communications
Lead projects and short-term deep dives
Lead cross-functional project teams, to structure and execute analyses required to develop recommendations
Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Step in to lead critical projects based on emergent business needs
Participate in early discussions to scope new projects
Partner on behalf of the business with cross-functional teams on key strategic processes and initiatives
Run core operations / business cadence
Establish and lead operating processes and tools for effectively managing the organization
Partner closely across many functions relevant to the org, incl. Product ; Eng, Comms, PR, ; Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal and Operations. Use cross-functional knowledge and seeks to understand issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence the business.
Proactively identify problems and issues across organizations and create programs and processes to solve them
Strategic analysis
Provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership, based on analysis, experience, technical acumen and good judgment
Lead org-wide, cross-functional project teams, to structure and execute analyses required to develop recommendations.
Communicate findings from initiatives to senior management and the broader organization
Provide regular competitive ; trending news/insights on the business and competitive landscape

The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00
