What it's like to be a Tech Assembler I

As a Full-Time Tech Assembler I at PTI Technologies, you will play a vital role in preparing production hardware for DIR inspection and buyoff under direct supervision. Your responsibilities will focus on assembling components according to detailed manufacturing instructions, specifications, and drawings. With an emphasis on precision, you will utilize a variety of mechanical and hand tools to create accurate sub-assemblies while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Working as part of a team in a flow environment, you will learn to check indicators and modules for proper appearance and take corrective actions as necessary. Attention to detail is key as you will maintain a clean work area, manage equipment, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines. This position offers the chance to grow your skills while contributing to high-performance aerospace projects.

To excel as a Full-Time Tech Assembler I at PTI Technologies, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with 0-3 years of relevant assembly or industrial experience. A fundamental ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions is essential, as is the capacity to follow directions for assembly while inspecting one's own work. Proficiency in using basic hand tools and working with small components is required. Strong language skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English, will enable effective communication within the team.

Candidates should also have solid mathematical abilities for measurements and calculations. The role demands physical endurance, including lifting and moving materials and standing for extended periods. Comfort with a moderate noise level and potential exposure to mechanical parts is necessary.
