QUALITY INSPECTOR

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Department: Quality Assurance

Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct In-Process and Final Inspections

Utilize inspection gauges (micrometer, caliper, etc.)

Analyze and prepare certification and documentation

Prepare reports for management

Work independently and in groups to identify and resolve issues

Positive attitude with team mentality

Ability to layout detailed castings

Job Qualifications: US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements

Education:HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Knowledge of blueprints and GD&T

Experience with Navy specifications

Ability to navigate and understand Electric Boat Standard Clauses

Fluent with Microsoft office

Experience with PC DMIS software

Familiar with ISO 9001-2015

Salary:

$30-$35 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 1st Shift Monday to Friday

1:00 PM-11:00 PM, 2nd Shift Monday to Thursday

Physical and Mental Efforts:

General: Extensive mobility required, some moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walking and standing for long durations; see objects closely; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires ability to concentrate with some interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
