DATTCO has an opening for a full-time Benefits Specialist in New Britain, CT. This is a full-time, on-site position and remote work is not available.

Primary Responsibilities

Open enrollment

Employee orientation

Heavy data entry (which includes payroll earnings and deduction code set-up)

Effectively answer routine phone calls, mail and fax inquiries

Tracking of required documents

Correspondence to employees about benefit eligibility

Providing clerical and administrative support

Participate in outings with vendors as needed

Leave management (FMLA Federal and State Regulations) tracking and data entry

Daily attendance at work is required - Hours 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday (overtime may be required occasionally based on business needs)

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

1-2-year benefits experience and with some payroll knowledge (high-deductible plans, flex spending, HRA, etc.)

Human resource basic knowledge (i.e., FMLA, LOA, ACA)

Bi-lingual is a plus

Valid CT driver-s license

Reliability is a must

Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, HRIS and Payroll systems.

Self-motivated

Detail-orientated

Ability to work within time constraints

Be able to work independently and within a team environment

Ability to maintain confidentiality
