General Summary:

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Cheese Maintenance Technician Rate is$36.21 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for fabrication or modification of equipment to Leprino specs and standards.

Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment.

Responsible for repairs of building and all plant equipment.

Responsible for plant preventative maintenance.

Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable.

Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable.

Responsible for welding repairs to plant equipment.

Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsible to fulfill MEP requirements.

Perform any other duties as required by Maintenance Manager, Supervisor or Group Leader.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Knowledge of GMPs.

Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position.

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions.

High School level verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum one year of experience in a maintenance setting involving electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, and general mechanical.

Proficient written and spoken English.

Basic computational skills required.

Simple math reasoning required.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Working knowledge of manufacturing system software (SAP and MES) is preferred, but not required.

Self-starter who demonstrates initiative in recognizing and accomplishing needed tasks for the department office.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:

Must complete required Security Attendant trainings within 6 months of starting the position.

Working Relationships:

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

This position will regularly interact with other production and support group supervisors.

Regular interaction with other plant management.

Regular interaction with Leprino employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
