Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to efficiently manage and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. You will match invoices to purchase orders, verify the receipt of goods and services, and enter and code invoices into the accounting system. The role involves preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments, reconciling accounts payable transactions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining vendor files. You will assist with month-end closing and financial reporting, respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment issues, and collaborate with the finance team to enhance processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.

Match invoices to purchase orders and verify receipt of goods/services.

Enter and code invoices into the accounting system.

Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.

Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.

Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

The role requires you to be onsite fully at the start due to the manual nature of the current accounts payable process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
