We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented finance professional to lead critical financial operations for our Electric Power Systems (EPS) organization in Rockford, IL. This role offers the opportunity to oversee key financial processes-including monthly close, forecasting, long-term planning, and compliance-while serving as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with the ability to drive insightful financial analysis and support high-impact business decisions through accurate, timely reporting and strategic guidance.
What You Will Do
Lead all month close, forecast, annual and long-term planning activities for various operations and facilities entities.
Preparation of monthly account reconciliations.
Ensure 100% compliance with all financial and business controls and adherence to all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including documentation and testing of business controls; Government accounting requirements and RTX internal audits.
Ability to work closely with a cross functional team and provide timely and accurate financial data that helps drive appropriate business decisions and resolves issues.
Implements financial processes to maximize the quality of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Financial point of contact for Electric Power Systems (EPS) Rockford Operations and Facilities. Support includes, but not limited to:
Ad hoc reporting/financial analysis as requested
Supports monthly departmental, cost analysis and any other key meetings
Provides consultation and guidance on key financial analysis, results, and recommendations
Supports proposals for new capital expenditures including ROI analysis
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
