Job Purpose

Learn from manufacturing engineers about how to provide operations and engineering support to position any company at the forefront of their industry.

Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, conferring with equipment vendors.

Develop strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization.

Oversee company operations to insure technical competence, production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Principal Accountabilities

Learn sound manufacturing principles from experienced manufacturing engineers and manufacturing technicians.

Performing key data entry and engineering documentation tasks.

Cataloguing knowledge gained during internship and presenting to engineering manager at end of internship

Mechanical design of manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and jigs.

Participation in manufacturing efficiency projects.

Other duties as assigned.

LI-DNP

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Active enrollment in ABET accredited undergraduate program in mechanical engineering or similar.

Preferred candidate will have completed prerequisite college courses and be actively enrolled in upper division courses.

Entry level knowledge and experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Desire to learn as much as possible about manufacturing engineering.

Ability to use mechanical hand tools.

Ability to prioritize, initiate, and drive projects to completion.

Ability to think outside the box and develop solutions to engineering challenges.

This is a safety sensitive position.

The salary range for this position is $21-$26. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
