CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client in Wilmington, DE.

Location: Wilmington, DE - hyrbid Tues, Wed, Thurs

Duration: 12 months

Overview:

Provides design, development, and technical direction for new or existing applications. This role involves solving complex problems and implementing enhancements with sound technical solutions.

Serves as a key contributor ensuring effective evaluation of business requirements and maintaining existing applications.

May direct the work of less experienced team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development on basic to complex applications.

Maintain excellent functional understanding of supported applications.

Coordinate and monitor development tasks on projects of various scopes.

Prepare and manage technical components of project plans.

Participate in full software development lifecycle from analysis through user acceptance testing.

Prepare and review test data, detailed test plans, and debug as needed.

Evaluate interrelationships among programs, platforms, and interfaces.

Provide consulting and leadership in implementing new technology solutions.

Create and maintain thorough documentation including technical and functional specifications.

Prepare project assessments including timeframes and task requirements.

Maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications.

Recommend new technologies, tools, or processes for continuous improvement.

Follow and promote development standards and best practices.

Understand business unit functions and strategic direction.

May contribute to budget planning and technical evaluations of third-party software.

Comply with company risk and regulatory standards.

Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Reports to the Technology Team Lead and independently executes high-level system and technical tasks.

May lead project activities and oversee junior team members.

Represents the department in cross-functional initiatives.

Interacts regularly with senior management, technology staff, clients, and vendors.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

May direct and monitor work of less experienced personnel on projects.

Provides guidance and technical leadership to peers.

May serve as technical representative on committees or special projects.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Technical skills to include Angular (front end), .net(middleware) and SQL (backend)

Understanding/hands on with MVC framework

A passionate go-getter with ability to work independently.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
