Hiring for General Manager-Marshall Area

General Manager is responsible for all operations of the business unit, staff, building and property, including managing day-to-day restaurant operations with a focus on long term goals and objectives. General Managers ensure operational focus on consistent friendliness, guest service and satisfaction, cleanliness, and Crazy Good Mexican Foodandtrade;. General Manager acts in leadership capacity to develop, train, and hold accountable management staff and hourly employees to attain positive sales, increased profit, and budgets in addition to upholding the highest standards of food and beverage quality, service, cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions

Clearly, respectfully and consistently communicate with management, staff and hourly employees.

Possess a business owner mentality.

Understand, comply with, and enforce:

o All restaurant policies, procedures, and operating standards.

o All federal/state/local laws and ordinances.

o Health department regulations.

o Liquor and beverage laws and policies.

Conduct and responsible for:

o Inventory

o Purchasing

o Receiving

o Product storage (and rotation)

Manage quality control of all products sold from the restaurant (including bar recipes, limited time offers (LTO), product specifications and storage).

Maintain guest service up to restaurant standards.

Control the COGS with a focus on bar and beverage while meeting cost expectations.

Responsible for scheduling of employees, ensuring there is sufficient coverage during peak service periods, while maintaining a budget, reducing turnover, and avoiding overtime.

Promote a non-discriminatory and harassment-free environment in the restaurant.

Lead successful, quality shifts by consistently utilizing systems and tools provided by restaurant.

Train, coach, counsel and develop all employees.

o Create development plan for all employees and follow up continually.

o Evaluate all employee and manager performance semi-annually.

o Develop all managers and hourly employees to create promotable candidates.

Ensure each manager has a development plan.

o Conduct weekly one-on-one with each manager on assigned tasks and development plan.

o Foster growth and learning of management staff.

Conduct weekly manager meeting to focus on and address key deliverables for restaurant.

Maintain professional restaurant and personnel image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
