Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and engaged leader to manage our Supply Chain and Procurement applications and portfolio. This role will support strategic initiatives within the Supply Chain and Procurement organization while ensuring the operational stability of the application portfolio. The focus will be on leveraging technology solutions to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage the Supply Chain and Procurement technology team.
Strategize and implement technology solutions that align with AEP's strategic objectives for Supply Chain and Procurement.
Collaborate with business and technology executives to identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Evaluate and deploy best-in-class technologies to streamline procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier collaboration.
Manage, coach, and mentor project and support teams to successfully deliver projects of all sizes-large, medium, and small.
Ensure the operational stability of the Supply Chain and Procurement ERP platform, Maximo.
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business and technology teams, system integrators, and co-source partners.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote user adoption of new technology platforms.
Develop reporting mechanisms to provide insights into procurement performance and supply chain efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related technical field is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Experience: In addition to any experience required above, 8 or more years of technology experience; 4-6 years of direct supervision experience preferred.
Nice to Have:
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, procurement best practices, and relevant technologies, including ERP systems (Maximo, SAP, Ariba), eProcurement tools, data analytics, generative AI, and mobile applications.
Proven experience in leading technical projects, managing engineering teams (including co-sourcing), and delivering production-critical systems.
Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions while managing multiple projects to ensure timely delivery aligned with business goals.
Experience in preparing technology roadmaps, resource plans, and budgets, with a focus on financial success.
Proficient in data analysis and KPI utilization to enhance team performance.
Familiarity with RFP preparation, system integration, and stakeholder engagement to drive consensus on technology initiatives.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams toward effective solutions.
Experience fostering a collaborative team culture, including leading remote and geographically diverse teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex technical information clearly.
Background in organizational change management for technology implementations.
Utility industry experience is a plus.
Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master, or Organizational Change Management are preferred.
Hands-on experience with Maximo, Ariba, and other supply chain tools.
Location: Prefer candidate to live within 50 miles of Columbus, OH.
