Human Resources Generalist

Full Time (Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm) Benefit & Pension Eligible MNPrairie is looking for an HR Generalist who will work closely with the HR Manager. This person will perform advanced skilled human resource generalist work including a wide variety of complex and routine human resources functions including but not limited to, benefits administration, recruitment, leave administration, compensation, safety, and technology utilization. Serves as a confidential employee. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Human Resources Manager. Duties include but are not limited to: Recruiting o Posting positions, scoring applications and scheduling interviews o Coordinates new hire orientation and benefit enrollment Benefit administration o Coordinates completion of electronic benefit enrollment and changes o Works with the carriers on any issues o Monthly reconciliation and verification o Compiles open enrollment materials and conducts meetings o Handles FMLA and other leave administration HRIS administration o Manages user access and security o Provides training and technical support o Develop and implement new processes for efficiency Safety o Reviews and updates workers compensation records and files claims o Assist with the coordination of the safety program Assist in the collection and analysis of relevant information and materials for collective bargaining process Independently researches and responds to all @types of HR inquiries from applicants, vendors, employees and the general public Successful candidates will have the following attributes: Desire and ability to work in a collaborative team with strong communication skills Emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, motivation, empathy, and social skills Ability to balance competing needs in the agency and make difficult decisions Highly organized and effective communicator Ability to research, assess, and evaluate HR data and information Willingness to travel between MNPrairie locations
