Oracle MySQL has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Field Marketing Manager, North America.
This is a remote position with a preference for a candidate in the San Francisco Bay area and requires up to 50% travel.

About the Position:
As the Senior Field Marketing Manager at Oracle you will play a key role in shaping and executing the global go-to-market strategy for our Open Source offering portfolio. As part of the global field marketing team, you will contribute to the creation of integrated campaigns and programs to drive awareness, pipeline, and customer engagement across all regions - with specific ownership of local execution in North America.
We're looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on marketer who can bridge the gap between global strategy and regional action. You'll work closely with product marketing, sales leadership, and cross-functional teams to align on goals, tailor global initiatives for regional success, and execute impactful marketing programs. Additionally, we are looking to strengthen our team's social media marketing expertise , so experience in building and managing social media outreach strategies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
What You Will DO: (Key Responsibilities)
Global Campaign Strategy & Regional Execution :
Collaborate with the global Field Marketing team, Product Marketing and other Oracle marketing teams to co-develop campaign strategies that support all Open Source offerings.
Own the end-to-end execution of those campaigns for the North American market , ensuring global alignment while adapting to regional needs and customer behaviors.
Collaboration with Sales Leadership:
Partner with sales leaders to design regionally relevant programs that align with pipeline goals and account strategies.
Serve as a trusted marketing partner to field teams, providing visibility and feedback on campaign effectiveness and keep regularly communicate with sales teams to ensure alignment and buy-in for marketing activities.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
Bring expertise in social media marketing , developing organic and paid outreach programs to build community, drive engagement, and amplify campaign messages.
Work with stakeholders to ensure social media efforts are integrated with broader digital marketing campaign
Lead Generation & Nurturing: Design and execute digital marketing programs, including email marketing, social media campaigns, and paid advertising, aimed at driving qualified leads and nurture them through the funnel to increase new customer acquisition.
Field Event Management
Plan, manage, and execute a mix of digital and in-person regional events , including webinars, user group meet-ups, community events, industry conferences, and partner activities to drive awareness and lead generation.
Create targeted campaigns to drive attendance and engagement at these events.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with channel, partner, and other marketing teams within Oracle to leverage their resources and expand the reach of our Open Source Offering Portfolio marketing initiatives.
ROI Measurement and Reporting:
Track and analyze the ROI of marketing activities, using both quantitative and qualitative metrics. Regularly report on campaign performance to senior leadership and local sales teams, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
Use data to refine and improve ongoing and future campaigns.
Customer references: Facilitate the development of customer references, that support Open Source narratives and campaigns, by working closely with customers and sales teams
. Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses, and ensuring all activities are executed within budget.
What You Will Bring: (Skills and Experience)
Education:
Bachelor's degree required (4-year minimum).
MBA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B field marketing, with a proven track record of driving successful campaigns, events, and lead-generation programs.
Experience in the technology industry, particularly open-source solutions, is a significant advantage.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Eloqua).
Skills:
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, and other stakeholders.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage C-level executives and technical influencers.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in a remote, virtual team setting, and willing to travel regularly within North America for in-person events.
Other Requirements:
Strong analytical mindset with experience in using data to inform decisions and optimize marketing strategies.
A passion for open-source technologies and the ability to communicate their business value effectively.
Willingness to actively engage with the open-source community, including user groups, meet-ups, and conferences.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
