Description

Jackie Meza with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Modesto, California. This role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting the organization's financial operations. Responsibilities:

Process and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Manage and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly documented.

Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.

Analyze financial data and create reports to support decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger management.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
