Job Description
We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join GDIT as a Systems Engineer Sr. Advisor . As part of our application development team, you will develop the necessary components of the application, implement strategies, evaluate products and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. You will collaborate with GDIT technical leadership, Government customers, and other key stakeholders to assess our existing and new systems infrastructure. You will work closely with our Security assessment team to make sure all architectural design meets agency policy and guidelines. You will then determine how best to update, upgrade, and reorganize our technology to create a lean, efficient Systems/Solutions Architecture capable of supporting our various projects and goals. You will maintain production application system architecture documentation throughout the life cycle of the application.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Research, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
Applies advanced knowledge to create a wide variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
Applies advanced knowledge to software updates, refinement, testing and debugging to meet business needs
Systems Engineer Sr. Advisor Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop project application components to include frontend, backend, and integration services
Ensure compliance with stakeholder coding and security standards
Design and develop codes, testing, and debugging complex new software products
Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle for software development and the application in production
Providing technical analysis of requirements, development of software, automated testing, builds, deployment, monitoring, and feedback
Assist in supporting all aspects of the project to include all phases of life cycle development
Participates as a Subject Matter Expert in internal review of software components and systems
Systems Engineer Sr. Advisor Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field; master's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate Systems/Solutions Architecture processes and trendsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Experience with software development cycles
UI/UX development experience
Experience developing software according to Section 508 compliance
Required Technical Skills:
Developing web services working with API, XML, JSON
Development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NodeJS, ReactJS, Azure Functions
Experience
5-10 years of relevant experience

Experience in full software development life cycle
Experience with cloud-native architecture and development in AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience developing SQL and stored procedures with SQL Server (or other relational databases)

The likely salary range for this position is $158,846 - $214,910. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
