Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Hood River, Oregon, on a short-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting a single audit engagement for a non-profit organization. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can quickly adapt and deliver results with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive audit support materials, including detailed exhibits.
Conduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of the general ledger to ensure accuracy before the single audit.
Extract and analyze financial data from systems such as Sage Intacct.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to meet strict audit deadlines.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.
Handle balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
Create and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
Assist with month-end close processes to finalize financial statements.
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage and analyze financial data.
Support audit-related tasks to ensure compliance and successful engagement completion. Requirements - Proven experience in balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
Proficiency in using Sage Intacct for financial data extraction and reporting.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and spreadsheet management.
Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and audit preparation.
Solid understanding of single audit procedures and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
