Job Title: Backend Cloud Infrastructure EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to become a key member of our infrastructure and transportation AI team. Your primary role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining extensive data ingestion pipelines to ensure a continuous and reliable flow of image, video, and GIS data into our cloud-based datastores. You will also implement and manage data workflows using Apache Airflow to automate, schedule, and monitor data pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

Design and develop large-scale data ingestion pipelines.

Maintain reliable data flow into cloud-based datastores.

Implement and manage data workflows using Apache Airflow.

Automate, schedule, and monitor data pipelines.

Ensure efficient data processing and timely delivery.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Python and Scala.

Experience with data engineering and distributed systems.

Strong skills in multi-threaded programming.

Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience in organizing large datasets for scalability.

Understanding of data structures and Kubernetes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Understanding of machine learning fundamentals.

Experience with API development.

Work Environment

The team is primarily based in Salt Lake City, with a hybrid work environment for local candidates. Remote candidates will need to travel to Salt Lake City once per month for 3 to 4 days to collaborate with the team. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technology within a startup environment backed by a larger, stable company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
