The focus of this role is to partner with business stakeholders across the enterprise to make smart sourcing decisions in selecting service providers to maximize the value of our $1B+ of annual professional services spend, and to mitigate risks through smart contract negotiations. This includes running RFP's, negotiating enterprise & segment level deals, managing supplier relationships, recommending best-in-class suppliers & innovations, facilitating process improvements and bringing stakeholders across the segments together for collaboration and leveraging opportunities. We serve as the connective tissue across the segments, creating broader opportunities than what is possible at the segment level.
Responsibilities
Join a dynamic team that is responsible for the strategic sourcing of Professional Services for The Walt Disney Company, building relationships with key executives, advising on market engagement to identify the best supplier partners, leading deal negotiations, and helping to optimize cross segment supplier relationships. You will work on a wide variety of initiatives that will keep the role exciting, exposing you to many service providing industries, such as consulting and advisory, financial, tax, audit, information subscriptions, translations, temporary workers, managed services etc., and enabling your growth in strategic thinking, relationship building, creative problem solving, process improvement, innovation sourcing, and other key skills that will develop you as a strong business leader. You will also be tasked with developing subject-matter expertise in the professional services category, through research, networking, leading key projects and building relationships with leaders in the various disciplines. The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing fees and contractual arrangements through competitive bids and contract negotiations. This individual will:
Participate and lead cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal stakeholders
Evaluate suppliers and consultants based on pre-determined selection criteria
Develop and lead RFI/RFP's process for professional services in accordance with TWDC policy and procedures.
Analyze bids based on total cost/supply to identify opportunities to achieve optimal value
Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiation strategies utilizing Strategic Sourcing methodology
Prepare and execute contracts as well as perform post-award administration
Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness and cost
Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and best practices
Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making
Analyze marketing industry trends and conditions that affect internal stakeholders and external suppliers and/or pricing
Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices
Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
Show proficiency with all aspects of the sourcing process for professional services agreements.
Demonstrate experience in drafting and executing professional services agreements.
Have experience working with a legal department on matters concerning boilerplate revisions to terms and conditions.
Basic Qualifications
3+ Years of strategic sourcing with at least 2 years of services category sourcing
Ability to interact with and establish relationships with employees at all levels

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400.00 - $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
