HOW A CYBER SECURITY SME I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Develop processes and provide support across all cyber areas for next-generation security automation to streamline response and enhance customers overall cyber resilience.
Propose innovative solutions and recommendations for continuous improvement with a focus on enhancing efficiency, optimizing processes, and delivering improved outcomes aligned with customer objectives.
Expertise in consolidating cyber support into a shared service support model.
Designs and evaluates Splunk infrastructure solutions; leverages extensive expertise to support the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of Splunk environments.
Ensures Splunk environments comply with customer requirements and customer information assurance / cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics.
Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell to automate tasks, enhance data analysis, and integrate Splunk with other systems.
Expertise of API calls and web services for integration and data exchange with other systems.
Experience with AWS, especially in the @context of deploying and managing Splunk.
Work closely with relevant stakeholders to solve technical problems at all levels.
Develops solutions to technical issues and problems within the Splunk environment that are new, evolving, undefined, and complex.
Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems within the Spunk environment that impact multiple area or disciplines.
Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems within the Splunk environment in order to achieve functional objectives.
Possesses expert knowledge of Splunk engineering and the ability to apply and execute advanced Splunk principles, theories, and concepts.
Maintains a current understanding of the best practices and strategies used in cyber security.
Motivates self and co-workers to expand knowledge base and capabilities.
May serve as a project or task lead as required.
May coach, develop, and mentor junior talent.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Degree may be substituted for by 4 years of additional experience in related field.
Required Experience:
With Degree: 5+ years of experience in cyber security or related field required; 7+ years preferred
Without Degree : 9+ years of experience in cyber security or related field required; 11+ years preferred
Required Technical Skills:
Splunk Enterprise, Security, SOAR, UBA, AA, ARI, SOC, ITSI, and/or AD
Design, implementation, and maintenance of Cybersecurity infrastructure specifically in an multi-tenancy architecture.
Experience integrating a holistic cybersecurity approach using: Zabbix, Puppet, Foreman, Tenable, Python, Trellix/FireEye, and Qualys.
Interoperability and maintenance of Splunk environments.
Distributed deployment of Splunk architecture, index clusters, and search head clusters.
Creation and management of Splunk knowledge objects.
Security Clearance Level: Must possess active Secret or higher clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $119,862 - $162,166. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
