Job Description
The IRC's Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) for unaccompanied children in the U.S. is growing from six current IRC offices to more than 17 offices throughout the US. This is a national, multi-million-dollar project with ambitious delivery goals in a short time frame.
The goals of the Home-Study Post Release Services Program (HS/PRS) are to:
Assess the safety and suitability of a sponsor before an unaccompanied child is released from custody into a sponsor's care (Home Study)
Provide case management support via remote and / or conducting in-home visits to ensure the continued safety and stability of children in sponsor's homes and linking children to resources in the community (Post Release Services).
SCOPE OF WORK:
The HSPRS Operations Coordinator (OC) supports IRC's Home Study and Post Release Services (HSPRS) for Unaccompanied Children (UC) working closely with the HSPRS Operations Manager, Assistant Director, Quality Assurance Manager, and various other members of the HSPRS management team. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational functions to support the successful advancement and coordination of projects, grants, events and other activities of the HSPRS unit within the Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) department. The OC has close working relationships and liaises regularly with HSRPS staff as well as members of other teams including but not limited to: RAI Finance and Budget; RAI Resource Acquisition and Management (RAM); RAI Operations, IRC Finance, IRC Supply Chain, and IT.
This position is part of an anticipated 36-month contract with the end date of September 30, 2026.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Assistance
Collaborate with Program Staff and Finance to oversee the tracking and distribution of Direct Assistance for HSPRS.
Responsible for training and compliance for Direct Assistance.
Increasing efficiency and exploring new systems for virtual programs.
Work closely with Finance to ensure compliance and adherence to budget.
Safety and Security (S&S)
Collaborate with global Safety & Security team and Operations Manager to:
Train and support HSPRS staff on incident management reporting.
Information Technology (IT)
Serve as backup to the Operations Manager and IT department for IT and communications infrastructure, hardware, and software matters.
Educate staff about IT support resources, including appropriate channels for incident reporting.
Provide support to ensure continuity in software licensing needs.
Provide orientation to newly hired staff on IRC software, knowledge management, and processes including helping newly hired staff be included in appropriate Listservs and calendar invites.
Ensure new accounts are created and old accounts are deleted, as needed.
Supply Chain
Serve as support to Operations Manager for procurement and supply chain. Order supplies, equipment etc. in accordance with supply chain and financial compliance guidelines and coordinate servicing and repairs as needed.
Manage vendor billing/invoices in coordination with Finance team.
Manage and maintain digital and physical files.
Coordinate on- and off-site storage needs with HSPRS Operations Manager.
Other Duties
Support staff in booking travel and travel logistics.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure effective functioning of cross-cutting systems needed to support program success.
Maintain email distribution and contact lists.
Liaise with HSPRS Operations Manager and other headquarters departments as needed on issues related to IT, office services, global supply chain, HR, recruitment, etc.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly related experience required.
Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities under pressure.
Strong analytic problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Experience in multicultural settings, human services and non-profit work an advantage.
Written approval by ORR including a Child Abuse Neglect Check and FBI fingerprint check.
Working Environment:
This position is fully remote.
Compensation:Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job @type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
