Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, focusing on product design, testing, and validation. This role requires expertise in designing new products and improving existing ones using SolidWorks 3D modeling, as well as developing and maintaining accurate BOMs and part/component drawings within the ERP system. The engineer will conduct product validation, testing, certifications, and collaborate with the Proto@type Shop for sample production. Leading DFM/A reviews to ensure manufacturability is a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

Design new products and improve existing ones using SolidWorks 3D modeling.

Develop and maintain accurate BOMs and part/component drawings within the ERP system.

Conduct product validation, testing, and certifications.

Collaborate with the Proto@type Shop for sample production.

Lead DFM/A reviews to ensure manufacturability.

Own process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.

Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend changes for productivity and cost savings.

Perform root cause analysis, FMEA, and corrective action efforts.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.

Design tooling and fixtures required for manufacturing processes.

Work from product models to create efficient, safe, and cost-effective tooling.

Collaborate with tooling specialists and shop floor teams to refine designs and ensure smooth implementation.

Essential Skills

Manufacturing engineering

Product engineering

Tooling and fixture design

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Proficiency in SolidWorks Design

Understanding of manufacturing processes

Experience in BOM creation

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing

Continuous improvement methodologies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with ERP systems

Capability in conducting DFM/A reviews

Ability to lead process improvement initiatives

Work Environment

The work environment blends office settings with hands-on shop floor activities. This role offers a dynamic space where you can apply continuous improvement methods alongside designing tooling and fixtures to manufacture high-quality products.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
