The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the cost accounting functions of the organization. This role ensures accurate cost allocation, inventory valuation, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all manufacturing cost accounting activities including cost estimates, inventory valuation and department spend.
Ensure accurate standard costing, provide cost estimates, analyze manufacturing variances, maintain appropriate inventory reserves, and support process improvement.
Support both internal and external audit objectives by evaluating and assuring that related processes have controls in place and are effective and adequate for operational efficiency.
Coordinate preparation of Operations budgets to assure accurate overhead costs and direct labor rates.
Responsible for monthly reporting of actual and forecast data for global manufacturing and supply chain, facilities, office services and order management departments.
Responsible for the reporting of global inventory and turns for all manufacturing, service and hub distribution locations.
Supervision of three direct reports in the cost accounting department.
Provide guidance and support to other cost accounting and manufacturing locations worldwide.
Perform analysis and give guidance to manufacturing, supply chain and process engineering departments.
Develop cost accounting techniques and procedures.
Produce cost and operational reporting and maintain key performance metrics for monthly Operations review meetings.
Provide financial support to project teams.
5% travel - domestic and international.
Basic Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in accounting.
7+ years of experience in accounting.
5+ years of cost accounting or financial planning and analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting cross functional teams.
Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience from order to shipment as well as inventory control experience - including physical inventories and cycle counting.
Global manufacturing cost accounting experience.
Experience in project accounting and process cost methodologies.
Experience with Oracle ERP system.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools (i.e. Business Objects, Hyperion).
Master's Degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Prior management experience.
Able to travel domestically and internationally.

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $102,394-$150,178 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company's discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
