Support the business in the design, development, implementation and administration of compensation programs related to base salary, annual cash bonus plans, rewards and recognition initiatives, sales compensation, equity compensation. Staying ahead of market trends and providing proactive solutions to help drive key business initiatives and priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Compensation to proactively identify value added compensation initiatives
Partner with compensation team and PBPs on core compensation processes, advising and providing analyses in support of a specific business and/or segment
Provide analysis to support complex compensation projects and initiatives
Evaluates new jobs for appropriate title and grade typically at the Sr Director and VP level
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs and initiatives; represent the business segments in pay program design efforts
Enable the design and delivery of effective business compensation strategies through tools, capabilities, and communications, all within the framework of our enterprise compensation philosophy
Partners with various stakeholders to work on cross-functional initiatives, change management and implementation efforts
Create and deliver complex queries, reports, and analyses to support data-driven decision-making
Key Capabilities
Strategic Planning Support - Understands the business and business segment priorities. Represents the compensation perspective to support the business from a cost/benefit perspective
Needs Assessment - Determine and provide clear, objective, and data based recommendations on moderately complex compensation related issues
Data and Trend Analysis - Research, monitor, and make recommendations based on best practices and analysis of internal and external data trends and literature. Gathers and analyzes data to identify root causes of issues, successes, and trends
Change Management - Provide appropriate counsel and information to influence and change behavior of customers when appropriate

Required Qualifications:
5+ years compensation experience or related field such as Human Resources, Workforce Planning, Analytics or Finance
Working knowledge of ERP System
Specific technical expertise in multiple areas: Salary survey participation, market data analysis, leading moderately complex projects, job evaluation, salary range analysis, and HRIS reporting
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated solid history of quickly building relationships and gaining credibility with human capital and business sr. management
Demonstrated solid project management skills, highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within teams and across the organization
Proven ability to lead and mentor others
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications, such as CCP
Compensation experience
Experience working in a matrix environment

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
