We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join GDIT as a Test Engineer Senior . As part of our deployment information technology team, you will ensure infrastructure development and design meets quality goals and objectives. You will work with multiple scrum teams while developing automated test scripts and test strategies in accordance with the project Quality Control Plan. You will be responsible for supporting, planning, coordinating, and executing verification, validation, and testing of application and systems software. You will collaborate with GDIT technical leadership, Government customers, and other key stakeholders to assess our existing and new systems infrastructure.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Working closely with software developers, engineers, business analysts, and requirements personnel to plan, coordinate, and execute static analysis and dynamic testing of systems/software code to verify and validate acceptance and technical specifications
Evaluating the test basis and supporting the refinement of requirements to ensure testability, clarity, and correctness
Test Engineer Senior Duties and Responsibilities
Design and implement automated testing frameworks for web and cloud-based applications
Create test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing using tools such as Selenium, JUnit/NUnit, or Cypress
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Pipelines)
Ensure every code commit triggers tests and results are visible to the team
Develop and maintain test cases for API Testing and load/performance testing
Validate system reliability and performance under expected production workloads
Work in secure Azure Gov environments to set up test data and test environments that mirror production configurations
Adhere to data handling policies by scrubbing sensitive information as needed for compliance
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand acceptance criteria for user stories
Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into automated test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements
Track and report defects using Azure DevOps boards or similar tools
Provide clear documentation of issues and work with development teams to resolve and re-test fixes
Continuously refine the test suite by adding new test cases for discovered issues and new features
Optimize test execution time to ensure the suite remains efficient and effective as the system evolves
Test Engineer Senior Requirements and Qualifications
Ability to assess software products for readiness and determine pass/fail criteria
Ability to capture test data, analyze test results and clearly communicate (orally and written) findings and/or deficiencies
Skilled at mapping test cases to requirements and providing input to generate a requirements traceability matrix
Skilled in creating software test cases, procedures, test scripts, and test data conditions
Knowledge of testing business applications and enterprise information systems
Knowledge of static and dynamic software test activities
Knowledge of agile or incremental software development lifecycle models
Secret Clearance to start
Required Technical Skills:
Windows, Linux, SQL and Oracle
Hands on SQL Skills using SSMS with proficiency in reading and understanding the flow of a large/complicated stored procedure
Experience using Selenium, JUnit, NUnit, and Cypress
Experience using Postman, REST-assured, JMeter, or Locust
Experience working in Azure DevOps pipelines and other Azure cloud environments

Directive 8570.1/8140 - IAT II: Security+ 4+ years in testing the infrastructure as code (IAC) or other similar technologies to deploy the microservice application infrastructure
4+ years conducting manual testing
5+ years of testing front-end applications using automation
5+ years of testing back-end applications using automation
5+ years End-to-End DevOps hands-on knowledge, test automation with tools like GitHub, ADOPS, or similar CI/CD tools
3+ years of application development and/or testing in Agile methodology
5+ years software QA and testing experience
Experience implementing automated testing processes with tools such as Junit, Selenium/Cypress, 508 testing, and performance testing
Experience using MS Visio for updating diagrams
Experience working in Federal or State government environments
Ability to work independently and remotely
Certification: Security Travel Required: Little to no travel anticipated (may be required upon customer request)
Location: Hybrid (on-site classified network support required for Washington DC client)

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
