Compensation includes a base hourly, plus GP dollars commission (commission typically ranges from $0-$90,000, but there is no cap) and profit sharing potential.
Job Summary:
The Project Salesperson is responsible for selling building products to customers. Maintain ongoing customer relationships and develop new customers. Work with builders and homeowners. Figure/Estimate the quantity of products required to complete the project. Sell the estimated items to the builder or homeowner.
After the sale is made the Project Salesperson, orders any special-order items, coordinates material shipments to the jobsite, answers any questions the customer may have, and works though any problems that may arise during the course of the project.

Positive, team-oriented attitude
No minimum experience required, but specific industry knowledge, product line familiarity and the overall building - contractor process, strongly preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Time management and planning skills
Computer experience: typing, sending/receiving emails, use of internet
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes
Knowledge of building materials and building practices
Knowledge of Michigan Building Code
Experience in blueprint reading and material takeoffs from blueprints
Retail experience, particularly in a home center, lumberyard, or hardware store setting.
