Summary:

The Principal Innovation Engineer will work closely with the Head of IT Innovation identifying and implementing innovative technology solutions that align with the organization's business goals. This role focuses on leading digital transformation efforts, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring the IT

infrastructure is prepared for future demands.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Identify and explore new and emerging technologies that can drive business transformation.

Develop and implement an IT innovation roadmap aligned with the organization's overall strategic goals.

Stay updated on industry trends and conduct research on new tools, platforms, and methodologies that could enhance organizational performance.

Assist in collaborating with business units to understand their challenges and help identify innovative technology solutions that improve business processes.

Drive the adoption of digital tools and platforms to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Lead proof of concept (PoC) initiatives and pilot projects for new technologies.

Oversee the integration and deployment of innovative technologies into the company's IT environment.

Work with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution of innovation projects.

Monitor project progress, ensuring innovation initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.

Foster a culture of innovation within the IT department and the wider organization.

Provide guidance and mentorship to IT staff on new technology trends and their application.

Identify and build relationships with external technology vendors, startups, and innovation hubs.

Evaluate third-party solutions and negotiate partnerships to advance innovation goals.

IT Innovation Interns

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

6 years of experience in IT, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or innovation-focused role.

One year of closely related work experience can be substituted for each year of education required.

One year of supervisory experience

Proven track record in leading digital transformation initiatives or implementing emerging technologies.

Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovation strategies.

Knowledge and Skills:

Technology Expertise:

Strong knowledge of current and emerging IT trends, digital transformation strategies, and

innovative technologies.

Expertise in system architecture, cloud computing, and enterprise software.

Communication:

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to a non-technical audience.

Project Management:

Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives and manage priorities effectively.
