What you'll do
This job is a member of the Generative AI Product Team within the Information Technology Division. In this role you will lead the vision and strategy for the effective use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies to drive organizational growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. You will work on pioneering projects that harness the power of artificial intelligence to solve complex problems and create significant business value. Specifically, you'll do the following:
Collaborate with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements for AI solutions
Obtain, manipulate, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources
Research and implement new AI technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance
Build & validate analytical and statistical models using forecasting and machine learning techniques (e.g., NLP, computer vision, tabular modeling) to drive value for our partners
Work closely with ML Engineers and product teams to build and deploy machine learning models at scale.
Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure continued effectiveness
Quantify business impacts and communicate actionable recommendations with business partners to drive informed decisions
Monitor model performance and implement strategies for bias mitigation and explainability.
Work on pioneering projects that harness the power of artificial intelligence to solve complex problems and create significant business value.
Partner with a diverse team of experts, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build scalable and impactful AI solutions. Identify, execute, and measure impact of opportunities for competitive advantage through innovation; bring in novel techniques with first-of-a-kind application
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Advanced degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
5 years of experience using Python and/or Java to develop and implement machine learning/AI solutions
3 years of experience leading data science projects, either formally or informally
Proven ability to build, cultivate and promote strong relationships with IT counterparts, business partners and external grou
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Experience building and deploying advanced data science solutions for multiple airline business domains
2+ years of experience using Natural language processing (NLP) technologies
2+ years of experience developing and leveraging MLOps techniques
2+ years of experience developing analytical models in a Cloud environment
2+ years of experience working closely with software engineering teams to implement complex analytics solutions
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Proficiency and demonstrated experience in the following technologies:
Python
Databricks
Azure AI Foundry services, including Azure ML
Database and persistence frameworks: Hibernate, Oracle, Object/Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning
Cloud-based development: Microsoft Azure, AWS
Web Services: REST/SOAP (JSON/WSDL/XML)
AI/ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch,Keras, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face
MLOps Tools: (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles
Strong understanding of NLP concepts, including tokenization, embeddings, transformers, and attention mechanisms
Knowledge of Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Experience developing and implementing generative-based AI solutions using Large-Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., Open AI GPT, Google Gemini, Llama)
Expertise in Prompt Engineering, including designing and optimizing prompts for foundation models
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM
Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
