The Investment Accounting Associate Manager is responsible for the accounting and reporting for a global financial services company's invested asset. These assets total over 330 billion and are comprised primarily of fixed maturity securities and includes private equity, hedge funds, commercial residential loans and equity securities. The Investment Accounting group specific responsibilities include reconciliation of transactional data from various sub ledgers Clearwater, Investran, and LMS to the general ledger and ultimately the company s financial statements as well as all related external reporting for investments 10Q K, Financial Supplement, STAT Audited Financials and Investment NAIC reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate will have to prepare statutory financial statements, Investments schedules and foot notes, hence need to have expert in USA statutory accounting principles.
Candidate should have good knowledge of Investments accounting sub systems and reporting tools.
This candidate should be able to interpret SEC (10k/10Q) and NAIC (Blue book and Green book reporting) instructions and how to implement regulatory reporting. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards such as GAAP and STAT.
This role requires frequent connect with an auditor, hence prior experience in handling external audit is preferred.
Candidates need to have knowledge of Blackline reconciliation policy and guidelines.
Collaborate with other departments in investments like Bonds, CML RML and OIA, including risk management and compliance, to ensure correct reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Participate in special projects related to investment accounting, reporting, and system improvements.
Provide analysis and insights as requested by senior management or external parties.
Review of Investments accounting and reporting where candidates need to have good knowledge of Investments accounting, reporting and stakeholder management.
Clear and prompt communication with team members, leadership and stake holders on client side. C
Candidates should be able to work under strict timelines during the month end / quarter end close and ensure noiseless operations delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Investment Accounting and one or a combination of the following Insurance, Financial Services, and/or Finance & Accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a major in a quantitative field e.g., Finance, Accounting, Math, Statistics advanced degree or CPA a plus
Experience in accounting and reporting for investments.
Experience in controllership or financial reporting role at a public company insurance sector experience a plus
Strong knowledge of financial instruments, including fixed income and equity securities, loans, alternative investments, and more
Knowledge of GAAP accounting pronouncements, US GAAP and US insurance statutory disclosure and reporting requirements for invested assets.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
