In support of this vision, the Clothing Room Supervisor works closely with Human Resources, Safety and Training, Operations Supervision, Roadway Maintenance Management, Custodian Supervision, Facilities & Fleet Management, Procurement and Central Warehouse. External contacts include uniform and clothing vendors. The Clothing Room Supervisor coordinates the ordering, receiving, stocking, distributing, and record keeping for uniforms issued to employees who require Tollway issued uniforms.

Essential Job Functions

Position Responsibilities

The Clothing Room Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager, as

does the Warehouse and Materials Distribution Supervisor, Messenger Services Supervisor, Property Control Manager, and the Manager of Central Warehouse Assets. The Clothing Room Supervisor oversees the ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of new uniforms.

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Clothing Room

Supervisor ensures uniform supply contract terms are adhered to and is the first contact person in the resolution of problems related to those contracts. The position makes recommendations to the Warehouse Manager for changes that will positively affect the Clothing Rooms performance.

This position streamlines the ordering process to minimize backlogs

and late orders, by identifying and maintaining target stock levels, ordering promptly, following-up on delivery, clarifying improper orders and establishing clothing turnover requirements. Timely procurement of uniforms is the most important aspect of the position.

Ensures all transactions are appropriately recorded for cost

assignment and employee history purposes in accordance with Tollway Policy. The incumbent oversees uniform returns for exchange and upon separation from employment.

This position works closely with Human Resources, Safety and

Training,Operations Supervision, Roadway Maintenance Management, Custodian Supervision, Facilities & Fleet Management,Procurement and Central Warehouse. External contacts include uniform and clothing vendors.

This position requires the ability to work with a wide range of

personalities, organizational and inventory management expertise, scheduling of delivery and usage projection techniques.

Coordinates clothing requirements to assure proper uniform supply

standards for Tollway employees.

Oversees and monitors vendor performance and resolves supply

problems through constant communication in person and by phone.

Maintains adequate uniform stock through proper ordering, follow-up,

reordering, and stocking procedures to ensure availability.

Maintains anaccurate perpetual inventory of clothing stocked in the

Clothing Room and maintains records of issuance transactions for assignments of costs to the proper departments cost center.

Oversees inputting of requests for payments for uniforms received

through the SAP system.

Other duties as assigned.
