Location: Middletown, NY

Salary: $72,500 Annually

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM (40hrs)

On-Site Position

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

We are currently seeking aLevel I Network Engineerto join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server configuration (Windows Server 2003/2008, VMware), Active Directory, Exchange, router and firewall configuration, and VPN communication. A strong understanding of networking concepts such as DHCP and DNS, IT security practices, and disaster recovery procedures is essential.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Manage and maintain servers, network communications, and system security.

Ensure data availability and perform regular backups.

Assist with the configuration and administration of routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to servers and network infrastructure.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:

Gain proficiency in critical business applications, including Fund EZ, IMA, Ceridian, Vertex, Microsoft SharePoint, and MAS.

Cross-train in desktop support and help desk functions to ensure coverage and operational efficiency.

Report directly to the IT Director and follow established protocols for task management and escalation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Required:

Minimum of2 yearsof relevant business/industry experience.

Strong foundational knowledge of computer systems and IT infrastructure.

Ability to quickly adapt and work effectively in afast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred:

Familiarity with applications such as Fund EZ, IMA, Ceridian, Vertex, Microsoft SharePoint, and MAS.

Experience in IT support and end-user assistance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevanttechnical certifications(e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications, VMware) are a plus.
