Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals for first shift (6am-2:30pm) Maskers at our metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, CA. The Masker role involves sealing parts to be painted or dipped, providing constant support to the masking department, and ensuring optimal quality in the daily production schedule.

Pay will be based on experience but is between $16.50 (no experience)-$18 an hour for Masking experience. Overtime available daily and on the weekends. Open to entry level if willing to be trained.

Responsibilities

Inspect 100% in-process masking on all parts.

Communicate directly with inspector/supervisor on First Article and masking concerns.

Work directly with maskers on technical improvements and efficiency.

Develop new masking techniques.

Take pictures of new part numbers and send to customers for verification.

Ensure accountability for good attendance.

Inform management of quality issues.

Mask one piece for each incoming job into the department.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Conduct receiving inspection, including count, visual inspection, and completion of previous operations.

Maintain a clean and organized department daily.

Essential Skills

Experience in inspection, masking, sealing, and taping.

Proficiency with measuring tools.

Ability to work with both small and large parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Capability to develop new masking techniques.

Effective communication skills for direct interaction with inspectors and supervisors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
