Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Architecture / Interiors Project Lead, to be based in our New York Metro office on a hybrid work schedule. This role works within the AECOM Buildings + Places business line. The Architecture / Interiors Project Lead will support our Interiors group for New York Metro and beyond, leading teams to develop design documentation for Interiors projects (Interior Architecture and Design) from concept through construction administration.
AECOM's Buildings + Places business line is dedicated to design excellence and integrated project delivery solutions with expertise including architecture, interiors, engineering, development, workplace strategy, economic planning, master planning, project management, and construction services. Our B+P New York studio provides industry-leading design projects in corporate interiors, government, and higher education markets.
The Architecture / Interiors Project Lead will be responsible for the following items, but not limited to:
Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. At this level, the individual will have a demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, and foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high-quality technical excellence.
Anticipates and resolves complex technical issues and design issues with teams to develop constructible solutions during document preparation and construction administration.
Assists with interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments, including: technical detailing, scheduling, coordinating with internal and external consultants and successful delivery of project goals.
Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual technical problems, determining objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and assists in developing standards and guides for diverse architectural activities.
Generally, requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of architecture and interior architecture
Plans and develops tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of the subject area, definition of scope, and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches
Works under minimal supervision and maintains constant communication with the Project Manager, Technical and Design Director
Provide Q/A, Q/C overview for the team before formal review
Collaborate and support design & technical leadership of the studio

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture and six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education &/or experience
5 years of experience in Corporate Interiors and/or other @type of workplace interiors
5 years of experience working on NYC-based projects with knowledge of NYC DOB Codes & filing process
5 years of experience working in-field with Construction Administration in NYC
ACAD experience in a professional role
Experience with Revit
Registered Architecture License
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of experience
LEED Certification
Expert knowledge in Revit
Ability to use 3D software (Enscape, Rhino, Max, Sketch-Up)
Experience using Procore and other common Document Control software
Experience with Bluebeam Studio
Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, inDesign, Photoshop)

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $125,000.00 - $180,000.00.
